About the Association of Women Solicitors in Manchester
AWS (Manchester) Branch was set up in the early 1980s.
We have an active committee and we bring together women solicitors from across the North West region for both educational and social events.
The AWS Manchester Branch is an excellent way to met new like minded people in an informal setting and is also a good forum to discuss issues affecting women solicitors today.
Our events page lists our up coming events, which vary from continuing professional development to fun social events.
Once you become a member you will receive notification of our events.
You can bring along non-AWS members to our events, although there is of course a discounted price for our members.
AWS Manchester echoes the objectives of the National AWS, in that it aims to be a network helping to promote the potential and success of each woman solicitor in the legal profession at every stage of her career.
The AWS strives to:
- articulate and represent the views of women solicitors;
- promote women's interests in the profession;
- campaign on issues important to women solicitors; and
- actively oppose discrimination against women solicitors.
